Man arrested in connection with indecent exposure incident

Our officers have arrested a man in connection with an indecent exposure incident in Mowsbury Park in Bedford last Wednesday (8 April).

The man, who is in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of committing or conspiring to commit an act outraging public decency, and has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.

We tend to see a spike in incidents of indecent exposure in the spring and summer months and have already recorded 20 incidents since the beginning of this year.

We would urge anyone who has been a victim to report it to us as soon as you can as this helps us to identify repeat offenders and hot spot locations so we can tackle the issue.

As a force, we are doing all we can to tackle male violence against women and girls and make Bedfordshire a safer place.
